The name of the desk organizer was inspired from the Filipino word abubot which translates to small things that are not so important but interesting. The Bot is simple at first glance but when collapsed it can be used as a phone stand, pen holder, and paperweight.

The Bot design was inspired from minimalist architecture, which involves the use of simple design elements without ornamentation or decoration. The organizer is just a simple stretched cube reduced and cut to form the overall design. The purpose of minimalism is to focus on the things that are more essential rather than unnecessary ornamentation; the Bot aims for its users not to focus in itself but to provide support to their daily work through its functions.
